Deus Ex : Invisible War - Can I run this game on Windows Vista? | | 31 October, 2007 | Will Deus Ex : Invisible War run on Windows Vista? This title is not supported to be ran on Windows Vista as it was released prior to Windows Vista being released and as a result the game was not tested on this Operating system. This is not to say that the game will not launch succesfully under this operating system but rather that we can not offer any support to help get the game to be ran. Even if the game does launch successfully, there is still a good chance that there will be further problems encountered whilst playing the game, again these issue cannot be supported unless the game is being ran in a supported operating system. In order to give yourself the best possible chance of launching the game, make sure you have the latest drivers for your systems hardware and all the Windows updates. Further to this, you can try launching the game in compatiblity mode for Windows XP or another supported operating system, but please note that even this does not guarantee the game will launch successfully.
- Locate the games program icon in the installation folder or shortcut on the desktop.
- Right-click on the icon, select Properties, and then click on the Compatibility tab.
- Check the "Run program in compatibility mode" box and select Windows XP (service pack 2) for the mode.
- Click on Apply, and then OK to close the window and try launching the game.
If you are not logged in as an administrator of the PC you may wish to tick the "Run this program as an administrator" box also. If you have a Steam version of the game, please ensure the Steam Client is running before trying to launch the game. If you do not have a shortcut to the game on your desktop you will have to find the game executable; this is typically located in one of the subfolders of : c:\program files\Steam\Steamapps\[Username]\..... Follow the instructions above with the game executable and launch the game with this.
